Unnecessary (Love)

I wrote this earlier today on the whim. It's quite interesting and also contains a pretty profound double-meaning throughout if you can catch it. Read it. Comment on it. Thank you.

Unnecessary (Love)

Some say it’s needed

To keep running in the world

To save our brothers

From lives of misery

Simple things like money

The greedy rich man’s

Sword of deviltry

Or petty entertainment

With its degeneration

And all-for-naught morals

Excess and greed

Are the rules to live by

While peace and health

Call just to the birds

Until a tragedy strikes

And when to turn back

Would worsen it all

Glitz and glamour matter

As their own greatest fib

As a blindfold

For the shameful truth

Hidden in fire

And blurred in lust

And are friends thus so

When all they spread

Are engorging lies

And sinful influences?

Necessities we call

All these backwards things

Which many on Earth

Do easily without

When only one thing

Holds ourselves from

Our utter destruction

When all we need

Is Love
